Museum of the Moon at the Millennium Centre

The other day I went down to Cardiff Bay to visit the Museum of the Moon exhibition in the Millennium Centre. The piece of art is created by Luke Jerram and is based around NASA's detailed imagery of the lunar surface. The piece has been travelling throughout the UK and has been placed at various indoor or outdoor locations including Leicester Cathedral and Gloucester Cathedral.

The sculpture is about the scale of 1:500,000 and each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 5km of the moon's surface. It's a spectacular piece of sculpting and looks impressive in a grand space like the Millennium Centre.
