For the past two weeks the temperature in Wales has been decreasing rapidly and this week there were snow warnings for towards the end of the week. However, the predicted snow downfall only occurred in certain places in Wales and England. Even though it did not snow where I lived, I still managed to go out up onto the Brecon Beacons to see the snow that had fell and settled on Thursday night. Even though there was not as much snow that was hoped, I still managed to get some pictures of the snow that did fall.

These pictures were taken on a lay by near the road. This was a perfect place for taking pictures since you were surrounded by the Beacons and the snow was all pretty much everywhere. This lay by is a great place to stop since there is a food van parked up which is open throughout the day selling bacon rolls, sausage sandwiches and burgers.
When we were driving through the Beacons there was a helicopter circling around, however is was uncertain for what it was for but probably to keep an on the many people who also decided to go out to Brecon and explore the snow.
The lighting was not great for taking photos since there was quite a heavy cloud coverage. Nonetheless, I still managed to get some decent shots of the snow.
When driving through the Beacons you pass Pen y Fan, which is the highest peak in South Wales. You cannot really see how high up it goes in this picture due to the fog, but it is 886m high and many people challenge themselves to climb it throughout the year.
Even though there was not much snow, it was still pleasant to go out and have a look at it since it is very rare that there is snow in the UK.
