Barbecues in the summer are a definite must. Summer holidays are the best time to have a barbecue, in my opinion, since the weather is usually warm enough to stay outside and regardless what time of day it is the food is always delicious! During my holiday in Norfolk this year it was decided to go out for a barbecue on the beach when the sun was setting. I think sunset is one of the most prettiest times of day since the colours are so vibrate and the light is usually great for taking pictures.
During my sunset barbecue on Cley Beach I took some photos to share my experience with you.

I love watching the sunset because it amazes me how quickly the sun can disappear from the horizon and the colour changes from light to dark are beautiful.
The barbecue was a success even if it was a little risky. We used camping stoves and lots of fire lighters in order to cook the sausages for our sausage sandwiches. Once the fire was lit the sausages were sizzling in the pan and of course the outcome was delicious.
During the evening a little boat started to bob across the sea. Even in this photo you can see the light and the colour changing into a musky pinky-orange colour.
Here the sun was very low and the sky was full of bright orange fire.
This photo was taken just before the sun completely disappeared out of sight. The smudge of pink that was the sun in the purple sky just looked beautiful.
This is a photo of the village that was just down the road from the beach that we visited after the beach barbecue. There was still some light in the sky but the colours had completely transformed from luscious orange to a deep blue. I really like this photo because the lights from the buildings have reflected in the waters making a mirror image of the scene.

Barbecues are a great way to get out of the house and have a bit of risky fun during the summer. I definitely enjoyed watching the sun go down whilst munching on a sausage sandwiches, I certainly recommend doing this for a day/night out with the family.
